Zero Waste Building Maintenance Training
Presented by the New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY)

This program is designed to help building maintenance staff run an outstanding apartment building recycling program through a combination of classroom instruction, field trips, and practical activities. FREE training program for NYC apartment building maintenance staff (two 8-hour sessions). Learn how to improve your recycling set-up, how to get residents to recycle, how to avoid fines, and more!

Upon completion, program graduates receive the following:
• Certificate and card signed by the DSNY Commissioner
• Direct communication with DSNY staff
• Fast track for DSNY apartment enrollment programs (refashionNYCecycleNYC, and Organics Enrollment)

The two training sessions will take place on October 17th and October 23rd.  The program is open to all who work in the the building maintenance field in a residential building in NYC.  To be accepted into the program you must work in a residential building, in the building maintenance field and in at least one of the 5 boroughs of NYC.  If you are accepted into the program, you will receive a confirmation with details about next steps.
