Union Square Partnership will be hosting our first-ever forum to support local businesses and organizations in their efforts to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
Many Union Square businesses are already demonstrating that it is possible to improve waste diversion and engage stakeholders - from employees and vendors to customers - in efforts to reduce their waste footprint without disrupting operations or profits. Our Forum - Getting to Zero Waste - aims to provide local businesses, property owners, office managers, waste and sustainability practitioners, and other interested organizations throughout our district with the practical knowledge, resources, and relationships required to move toward zero waste.
At the Forum, attendees will hear leaders from Breads Bakery, The New School, Eileen Fisher, Dig Inn, Think Zero, Foodprint Group, and more share their lessons learned from tackling packaging, food waste, e-waste, consumer education, built environment design, and other critical zero waste issues. During the Networking Reception, attendees can connect with specialists in waste reduction and recycling and register for a chance to receive a free waste audit for their organization. The Forum will take place on Monday, October 15 from 3pm - 6pm at The New School’s Starr Foundation Hall (63 Fifth Avenue). For more details and to register, please click here.
Please feel free to share the event details and registration with your colleagues, partners, and others in your network who may be interested and don't hesitate to reach out to our team with any questions. We hope to see you on October 15th!
