A public meeting of the NYC Council Committee on Sanitation and Solid Waste Management with two agenda items focused on food rescue and donation:

Int 1439-2017 - This bill would require an agency, when confiscating food safe for human consumption, to notify at least two food rescue organizations that they may retrieve such food at their own expense at least 24 hours before disposing of the food.
